In this interactive session with University of Pennsylvania’s Dr. Nalaka Gooneratne, participants walked through NIH's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) & Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding mechanisms.
About the presenter: Dr. Gooneratne is an Associate Professor with clinical training in sleep disorders medicine, and a research focus on sleep disorders in older adults. He also serves as the Director for the Master of Translational Research – Entrepreneurial Science track, teaching entrepreneurship in medicine, directing the mHealth (mobile app development) service of the University of Pennsylvania Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT), and is the PI on several NIH-funded research projects, including SBIR/STTR grants.
